How do I know when it is time to come in for a check up?

You should schedule a routine hygiene appointment every six months. At the time of your appointment, we have you fill out an appointment postcard with your address, which we will mail to you a month before your next appointment.

Do you accept referrals?

Of course! We vow to treat your friends and family with the same comfortable, personalized care that you receive in our office – and thank you for the referral!

Do you accept my insurance plan?

We accept most dental insurance plans and will help a patient by filing claims from our office. However, your insurance is an agreement between you and your provider, so we cannot guarantee what will or will not be covered. For more information, call us. We’re always happy to help.

What if I have an emergency when the office is closed?

If you’re a patient of record, call us. As your family dentist, we’ll be here for you when you need us – even if that means after hours. Whether we need to recommend a remedy to get you through the night until the office opens, make arrangements to see you after hours, or send you to an emergency room, we’re here for you.

My child has had an accident and his/her tooth has been entirely knocked out. What do I do?

Retrieve the tooth, being careful not to touch the root, and then place it in a glass of milk. Call us immediately so that we can attempt to re-insert the lost tooth.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, check, credit card, or CareCredit medical financing.

What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?

In addition to annual training to keep us up to date on the latest techniques and procedures for disinfection and sterilization, we meet OSHA standards. Your safety and peace of mind are important to us.

I brush every day, but my breath just is not fresh. Is there anything I can do?

Regular flossing and routine oral hygiene visits significantly improve your breath by reducing the amount of bacteria in your mouth. Commercially available tongue scrapers also remove odor causing bacteria from the surface of the tongue. Decay and gum disease can be a major factor in halitosis, too. If you have an issue with bad breath, please let us know so that we can find the source of your problem and recommend an effective solution.

Do I have to floss every day? Is it really that important?

Yes it is! Regular flossing removes food particles and tartar from the gum line, helping to prevent bad breath, sensitive gums, and even gum disease. Flossing is an essential part of your personal oral hygiene. If you find flossing difficult, we’ll be happy to show you some tricks that will make daily flossing a cinch!
